What happens today when you use a form

The freight quote and carrier introduction forms do not send anything to LogisticID by themselves. What you type stays in your browser: it is checked there for completeness, then composed into an email that opens in your own email client, addressed to LogisticID. Nothing is transmitted until you press send in that email client, and nothing you type is stored at any point.

The architecture for sending a form directly to LogisticID exists on this website but is switched off, and it sends nothing while it is. If it is enabled, this page will say so before it happens, and will name what is transmitted and where.

This also means LogisticID receives your details as an ordinary email, from your own address, and the message you send is the record. The interface says a request is ready to send rather than implying it has already been received.

The website sets no cookies, uses no advertising or tracking pixels, and loads no marketing scripts. It does use analytics, described in the next section, and that is the only third-party script on the site — it loads only if you allow it. Your answer to that question is kept in your browser, holds a version number and your yes or no, and is never transmitted anywhere. The cookie page describes everything stored in your browser in full.

As with any website, the hosting provider records standard server access logs for each request — typically the IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure to deliver and secure the site, not collected by LogisticID for marketing, and they are not combined with anything you enter in a form.

Website analytics, and only with your agreement

LogisticID uses WebmasterID to measure how this website is used — which pages are opened, and how people move between them. It is not advertising, it builds no profile for advertisers, and it is not shared with advertising networks.

It is switched off until you allow it. On a first visit the site asks, with declining exactly as easy as allowing, and the analytics script is not loaded, not requested and not present in the page unless the answer is yes. Declining is not a setting that is applied afterwards: it is simply the state you are already in.

If you allow it, an identifier is stored in your browser that recognises you on later visits, and each page view sends the page address and title, the address you arrived from, your browser language and user-agent string, your window width, that identifier and the time to WebmasterID, which receives it as a processor on LogisticID's behalf. The receiving server also sees your IP address, as any server does. Nothing you type into a form is included — a submitted form records only that a form of that name was sent.

The same applies to the quote and carrier enquiry steps. Following a call-to-action button, starting a form, choosing a freight type and handing a finished enquiry to your email client each send the name of that action, as do following a link to another website and downloading a file, which the tracker records on its own, the service or shipment type it concerned and the page it began on. Those are categories the website already knows, not anything you typed: no name, email address, telephone number, company name, cargo description or address is sent to analytics at any point.

The carrier compliance pages add two of the same kind. Moving from one compliance guide to another sends which guide you were on and which you went to, both as fixed identifiers this website assigns to its own pages. Following a link to a national authority sends which subject the entry covered — operator authorisation, tachograph cards, roadworthiness, road toll or labour inspection — and the two-letter code of that authority's country. That code describes the link, not you: it is the same value whoever clicks it and wherever they are.

You can change your mind at any time through "Privacy preferences" in the footer. Withdrawing also deletes the analytics identifiers from your browser, so the recognition stops rather than merely pausing. A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is honoured regardless.

How the information you send is used

Details in a freight quote email are used to assess the transport requirement and respond to it. Details in a carrier introduction are used to review whether a transport provider is suitable for future cooperation.

Information is not sold, and is not used for marketing unrelated to the enquiry you sent.

If online submission is connected in future, so that the website sends enquiries itself rather than handing them to your email client, this notice is updated with the controller details, retention periods and processors before that change goes live.

Data minimisation

The forms ask only for what is needed to answer the enquiry. The carrier form requests no banking details, insurance certificates or document uploads.

Your rights

Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to its processing.

The website stores nothing you type into a form, so it holds no record of that to retrieve or erase. In normal use the details are not transmitted anywhere either — they are composed into an email in your browser and go only where you send them. Once you send that email, the normal handling of business correspondence applies. Analytics is the one place where this website itself collects anything about your visit, and only if you allowed it. That record is tied to a random identifier rather than to your name, so it cannot be matched to you unless you supply the identifier from your own browser. Withdrawing your agreement in the footer stops the collection and removes that identifier from your browser; use contact@logisticid.com for any other request.
