Only six fields are required — the countries, the freight type and how to reach you. Everything else helps LogisticID answer more precisely, and can be left blank if you do not know it yet.
Sending a request does not create a transport contract or reserve capacity. LogisticID reviews the shipment requirement and responds with commercial terms; a movement is arranged only once those terms are agreed. Rates and transit times depend on the route, cargo, equipment and date, so none is quoted before the requirement has been reviewed. What makes a request answerable.
A requirement described in enough detail can be matched to capacity that fits it. One described as a route and a date cannot, and the gap gets filled with assumptions that surface as a price change later.
Four things decide whether a request can be priced accurately: where the goods are and where they are going as full addresses rather than cities, what they physically are — gross weight, the footprint and loaded height of each handling unit, and whether they stack — what each end can actually do to load and unload, and how much tolerance the delivery date carries.
Anything that changes the regime belongs in the request too: dangerous goods, a temperature requirement, an abnormal dimension. None of those is a reason a movement cannot be arranged, and all of them are a reason a quotation has to be revised if they appear later.
